#WeAreEssential – Tell Congress We Need Funding

Sep 25, 2020

The Arc national office in D.C. is asking advocates across the country to contact their delegation in Washington, D.C. to push for funding relief for service organizations, individuals and their families in a fourth funding relief bill related to COVID-19. Some movement has happened on the house side, but little on the senate side.

This request for action is part of the #WeAreEssential campaign that started when COVID-19 unfolded across the nation and pushes for more funding for our industry to get through this pandemic together. Contacting our representatives is very easy through a tool The Arc national created and should take less than two minutes for you to do — The Arc national really needs more constituents from Alaska to write our representatives.

Please use the link below to access The Arc’s easy email tool today to send a quick email to Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, and Rep. Don Young:

This information and link is also posted on our agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, if you feel comfortable sharing it with your social networks that way to encourage participation in this advocacy effort. If there are self-advocates that would like to do this, the more the merrier and feel free to forward this on to others! THANK YOU!
