Sparc: a creative place will offer special summer art camp programming for children during the month of June!
Weekly art classes are open to artists of all abilities ages 8-12. All classes will take place in an integrated studio that hosts individuals who experience intellectual and physical disabilities. Students will work alongside artists and mentors. Each course is instructed by experienced teachers and direct service providers employed by The Arc of Anchorage. All classes encourage self expression and acceptance. Students will be able to create in a positive and fun environment!
- Week 1 – Ceramics – June 4 to June 8
- Week 2 – Beading & Jewelry – June 11 to June 15
- Week 3 – Creations & Video Shorts – June 18 to June 22
- Week 4 – Screen Printing & T-Shirt Making – June 25 to June 29
Classes are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and held at Sparc: a creative place, located at 425 D Street, Anchorage AK, 99501. Classes are $175 per week or $660 for all four weeks (includes Eventbrite ticketing/processing fees if registering online). Military: 5% discount. A ticket covers one child for one week of art summer programming at Sparc and includes ticketing and transaction fees set by Eventbrite. If you wish to purchase all four weeks of classes, a discount is available for all four weeks.
