Case Manager – Community Living Services
The Case Manager oversees the provision of services and supports to individuals in accordance with each individual’s identified outcomes as well as The Arc’s Mission Statement and Guiding Values. This includes developing each individual’s Habilitation/Treatment Plan, assuring all documentation of service provision and assuring that services meet the goals and objectives as outlined in each planning document. The Case Manager is accountable to the person receiving supports, their team and the agency.
Required: High School Diploma/GED. One (1) year experience working with or having direct life experience with people who experience developmental, mental, or intellectual disabilities. Valid Alaska drier license, clean driving record, proof of insurance, continuous use of a vehicle, current TB skin test/health screening and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field. Three (3) years’ experience working with or having direct live experience with people who experience developmental, mental or intellectual disabilities.
Direct Support Professional (D.S.P.) | $14.60 per hour
The Arc of Anchorage is seeking several D.S.P.s to work in the community, in individual homes, and in our assisted living homes. The Direct Support Professional provides support for individuals to assist them in pursuing goals related to community activities, social interactions, essential life skills and personal hygiene tasks. This position may work independently but maintains close contact with the assigned supervisor and the team. The job atmosphere is based on the individual’s needs. The work site for this job may be in a private home, school, agency facility, or community setting. Various Scheduling Shifts Available: Evenings, Weekends, Overnights and Day Shifts (limited availability for day shift).
6 Months Customer Service Experience = Entry Level
Required: High School Diploma/GED. Six (6) months social service/life experience with individuals who experience an intellectual or developmental disability. Customer Service may be substituted for direct experience where applicable. Six (6) months experience computer proficiency. Must have continuous use of a vehicle during work shifts, valid Alaska driver license, clean driving record, proof of insurance, current TB skin test/health screening and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Must maintain CPR, First Aid, and MANDT certification.
Preferred: One (1) year experience in social services and/or direct care in areas related to individuals who experience intellectual or developmental disabilities. One (1) year experience in computer proficiency along with Microsoft Office Software experience.
